Workshop

The workshops organized by the Altiero Spinelli Centre for the Study of European Governance within the Jean Monnet Chair Governance and Community Policies 07/0169, with the participation of civil society has as an aim to contribute to the improvement of knowledge level of NGOs members. According to some studies and statistics concerning the relationship of Romanian NGOs with central governments or local authorities, only 30% of the civil society organisations had a form of cooperation with state institutions. One of the main causes could be the high level of centralism and bureaucracy which breeds lack of interest in developing cooperation from both sides.

The seminars organized by CASSOE will deal with issues of high interest for the civil society like: environmental protection, education, health, etc. The seminars will take place every semester and will last 1 day
